Savannah, GA - The Mansion on Savannah's Iconic Forsyth Park

Only a weekend in Savannah, but looking to see and explore everything the city has to offer? This travel guide is meant for you! Located along the iconic Forsyth Park and named a Top 25 Hotel in the south, this beauty is full of southern charm! Welcome to Savannah, Georgia!

The Mansion on Forsyth Park is truly an embodiment of the historical southern romantic style. If you’re looking for luxury just steps away from one of the most instagrammable places in Savannah, Forsyth Park, then you are in for a treat! The Mansion of Forsyth Park has endless options including world-class dining and top-notch cooking classes.

With its own luxury oasis, directly in the center of the mansion, you can relax poolside or enjoy an afternoon tea in the stunning sitting area (pictured below).

If you’re looking for a unique experience while in town, make sure to checkout a full listing of cooking classes that are offered at the Mansion. The 700 Kitchen School truly made for a perfect date night. The class serves as a fun yet engaging way to learn new cooking skills. We attended their International Street Foods class where we learned how to make samosas and dumplings. Click here for a full list of their classes you can schedule during your stay.

The next morning, we enjoyed an upscale dining experience in one of the six grand dining rooms that 700 Drayton offers. This location provides a stunning view of Forsyth Park. As for the food, the breakfast was out of this world. I highly recommend the French Toast if you have a sweet tooth like mine; the berries with the cinnamon and cream made this entire dish.

To get a glimpse of the beautiful offerings throughout Savannah, The Mansion offers bike rentals. Biking provides a great way to explore Savannah on wheels! We traveled through many parks and up to River Street - the main uptown stretch, which is lined with endless things to do.https://www.kesslercollection.com/mansion/

The next stop on our bike excursion was Leopold's Ice Cream, an award-winning ice cream shop that has been open for over 100 years! Definitely add this tasty stop to your itinerary.

Located at the River District, and the perfect place to enjoy some fantastic food and holiday drinks is Rhett and The Trade Room. We started out at Rhett (located on the river level), and it had the tastiest Seafood Ravioli and Roasted Chicken Breast. However, do not skip out on dessert, because the s'mores cheesecake was to die for!

After dinner, we headed upstairs to The Trade Room to enjoy some Holiday Hot Toddy's, which you can customize with your whiskey and tea of choice.
